Shun DMS382 3-Piece Classic Internet Special Set of Knives Overviews

This "Internet Special" set consists of 3 Shun Classics: the 4-Inch excellent Paring Knife, the 6-Inch ultimate Utility Knife and the 7-Inch hollow-ground Santoku Knife. The excellent Paring Knife works wonders for paring apples or coring fruits, and provides the excellent blade for delicate garnishing. The 6-Inch ultimate Utility Knife is whatever but utilitarian; the blade length and weight of the knife is excellent for all-around kitchen prep, but it is also a stunner in and out of the knife block. The 7-Inch Hollow-Ground Santoku (Japanese meaning "three virtues") slices, dices and minces its way through meats and vegetables alike, and the hollow-ground feature reduces knife drag and keeps food from sticking to the blade. These three excellent Shun knives are the excellent starter set for the novice, or complement the knives of the established professional. Knife blades are made with a razor-sharp 16 degree cutting angle on each side, and is made of Japanese Aus8A stainless steel for flexibility and strength. The ebony Pakkawood deal with has that sleek, sophisticated look that makes these knives feel more like art, than instrument, while providing a comfortable grip that is moisture resistant. Crafted in Seki City Japan, Shun Classics are forged in the tradition of samurai sword making. These heirloom potential knives will be a prized treasure you'll want to pass down to family for generations.
